1. All-natural dog food
This is one of those DIY dog food recipes that are easy to put together and provide all the nutrition that your canine needs. All you need to do is cut broccoli stems, carrots, and squash. Steam/bake them in the oven. You can add air-fried potato shavings and pan-fried salmon (with skin). Mix all the cooked ingredients and serve them in small bite-sized pieces to your canine.
2. Easy all-in-one meal
This meal includes everything your dog needs. It is not only healthy but also easy to prepare and quite inexpensive. Another advantage is that you can make a large batch of it and freeze it. Thaw out single portions as you use them over a long period, saving time and energy. Use 1 ½ cups of cooked brown rice, 2 carrots and zucchini (shredded), cooked ground turkey. ½ cup canned/frozen peas, and 3 cups of spinach. Make sure you stir-fry the veggies, add the cooked ground turkey, and let the mixture cool completely.
3. Scrumptious stew
This is one of the easiest DIY dog food recipes. It takes a while in the slow cooker but once done, it can be stored easily in the refrigerator to be used for over a week. Take 2 ½ cups of water, 1 cup of brown rice, 2 cups sweet potato in cubes, 2 large chicken breasts (cut into 12 pieces), and 2 pounds of frozen veggies. Add these to your slow cooker in the same order, cook on high for about 5 hours or on slow for about 8 hours.
4. Beef broth happy meal
For this, you will need 2 ½ pounds of ground beef, 1 ½ cups butternut squash(chopped), 1 ½ cups brown rice, 1 ½ chopped carrots, 1 can of kidney beans (rinsed and drained), and ½ cup peas (canned/frozen). DIY dog food recipes such as these are great as you just need to stir in the ingredients and add 4 cups of water into a slow cooker. Cover and cook it for 6 hours, stirring in between. This meal is sure to make your furry friend happy.
